Tri-State Orthopaedic
Surgeons was founded in 1949 by Dr. John H. Sterne. He was joined in 1953
by Dr. Henry Leibundguth. They incorporated their practice in 1965.
The current partners are grateful to Dr. Sterne and Dr. Leibundguth for
establishing and building an excellent practice reputation. Quality of
care and concern for the patient are the guiding principles which Dr.
Sterne and Dr. Leibundguth established for all current and future

We realize that
orthopaedic injuries do not occur always at the most convenient of times,
that's why we opened our Orthopaedic
Urgent Care . It offers walk-in
service, with no appointment needed for the evaluation and treatment of orthopaedic
musculoskeletal trauma and sports injuries.
We are dedicated to supporting our local
community athletic programs, including serving as team physicians for
University of Evansville and University of Southern Indiana. We also are
the staff Orthopaedic Trauma team for St. Mary's Hospital.
