Michael B. Boyd, D.O.
Dr. Boyd is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic
surgeon with a special interest in lower extremity arthritis
surgery, including primary and complex revision total joint
replacements, fresh osteochondral allograft transplantation, and
adult limb realignment.
Dr. Boyd did his undergraduate work at the
University of Michigan, obtained his medical degree from Michigan State
University, and completed his internship and orthopaedic surgery
residency through Michigan State University's Statewide Campus System (Botsford
General and Mt Clemens General Hospitals). During his orthopaedic
residency, Dr Boyd trained in Atlanta at Emory University’s Crawford
Long Hospital (adult joint reconstruction), in Orlando at the Nemours
Children Clinic/Arnold Palmer Hospital (pediatric orthopaedics), and in
Tampa at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute/Tampa General Hospital (orthopaedic
trauma). He then completed a subspecialty fellowship in Adult Joint
Reconstruction at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Boyd
joined Tri-State Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2006. He is board-eligible by
the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. His outside
interests include spending time with his family, participating in
sports, and traveling.
